  1. I was one of many tenants who helped pay the taxes. I was injured on the job while living there and spent the next year recuperating and had a chance to get to know Susie. I can't say anything about Susie because she was one of those special people that come along once in a lifetime. She was her own person and was reluctant to let in anyone. Her art was a reflection of her soul and she had little control over it. It flowed however it wanted to. I could tell many a story but really Susie didn't like stories, she liked her room in the shop where she could stretch out and read or simply watch life go by. She had pain in her life but she smiled and saw the good in a beam of light or a doll or a building with an onion top.
